During the 1980s, Bruce worked in a number of corporate accounting and finance roles, including General Manager Finance of a multi national Australian manufacturing and construction group, National Administration Manager of a division of Mayne Nicholas, and Group Accounting Manager of AMEV Australia, a multinational financial services group.
During the 1990s, Bruce was mainly involved in family business interests in the tourism and leisure industry, and had responsibility for their commercial and financial management. He also maintained various part time accounting roles in a number of listed and private businesses, in a range of industries including publishing, restaurants, manufacturing and legal services. Throughout this period, Bruce was regularly involved in the accounting and reporting activities of listed companies.
In 1997,when Optiscan listed on the ASX, Bruce commenced as Company Secretary on a part time basis, and in 2002, assumed the full time role of Chief Financial Officer.
