Optiscan has been featured in a Stockhead article examining the progress of ASX-listed healthcare and biotechnology companies advancing clinical studies, medical technologies and commercial milestones across the sector.

The article highlights Optiscan’s receipt of a research and development tax incentive refund of approximately $1.69 million under the Federal Government’s R&D Tax Incentive Program, supporting the company’s continued investment in its imaging technology platforms and clinical development activities.

Stockhead notes Optiscan’s position as a leader in confocal laser endomicroscopy, with the company developing digital pathology and precision surgery hardware and software capable of enabling live optical biopsies and non-destructive, three-dimensional in vivo digital imaging at the single-cell level. The article states that these capabilities support earlier disease detection and precision treatment approaches.

The report also references Optiscan’s ongoing breast cancer surgery study at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where the company’s InVue precision surgery and InForm digital pathology platforms are being evaluated. During the March quarter, the trial completed 17 of the planned 50 cases, with the company remaining on track for a planned FDA submission in the second half of calendar 2026.

In addition, the article highlights the commencement of Optiscan’s head and neck cancer clinical study at St John of God Murdoch Hospital in Perth. The study has already imaged the first six patients using InForm, with plans to introduce InVue once the agreed patient recruitment milestone has been reached.
