In a recent interview on Stockhead TV’s Long Shortz, Dr. Camile Farah, CEO and Managing Director of Optiscan (ASX: OIL), shared insights into the company’s latest clinical study targeting complex head and neck cancers.

The study will evaluate Optiscan’s InVue™ and InForm™ imaging systems in patients with oral cavity, throat, and salivary gland cancers - some of the most challenging cancer types to detect and treat.

Camile explains how real-time imaging during surgery enables surgeons to observe tissue structures microscopically, improving surgical precision and potentially reducing the need for repeat procedures.

He also outlines how this new surgical study builds on previous oral imaging work with InVivage®, with both streams contributing to the development of an AI-powered algorithm for oral cancer detection.
