Optiscan has been featured in a Stockhead article, which was also syndicated across News Corp titles including news.com.au, examining Australia’s growing leadership in medical imaging and digital pathology and highlighting Optiscan as one of the ASX-listed companies helping drive the sector’s next phase of innovation.

The article focuses on Optiscan’s approach to transforming pathology from an analogue, slide-based process into a real-time digital workflow using its confocal imaging technology. It highlights InVue’s ability to provide microscopic tissue imaging during surgery and InForm’s application in digital pathology, alongside the recent US launch of InSpecta. The report also references MedTechCo’s ongoing breast and head and neck cancer studies in Australia, preparations for studies with Mayo Clinic in the US, and its gastrointestinal imaging study with University Medical Centre Mainz in Germany.

CEO and Managing Director Dr. Camile Farah said: “We believe there is now a similar opportunity to rethink how microscopic imaging and pathology information are generated, digitised and accessed.” He added: “The bigger opportunity is to reconsider how microscopic information is captured, when it becomes available, and how it can be shared and interpreted.”
